Also I hate kitchen islands. You will note I do not have one. I also turned down two houses in large part because they had a galley kitchen with an island or peninsular extrusion bar area thingie. You know the kinds. Very common in Japanese homes.
I have always found these designs and islands in general to be obstructions. I always feel like they interrupt the ideal kitchen triangle. How do I move directly from the fridge to the range if there is a whole entire goddamned cabinet in my way?!

Despite her name (Mid-Century Millennial), her style is *mostly* rooted in post-modern 70s. There are definitely MCM elements, but they very much follow the realistic trend of people modifying their 50s and 60s items to be more groovy.

Bought this absolute unit of a dehumidifier for 6000 yen at the end of last summer. It retails for well over 3man yen, but I never got a chance to use it until now. And let's just say it sure helps my aircon function more efficiently, set to a mere 25C and the lowest strength setting.

My huge monstera deliciosa I've been growing against a plank for two years FINALLY attached, and that aerial root is one of FOUR from a single node. I've never seen that many from a single node. The next leaf is going to be massive, I think.

The only thing missing from the web instance of Mastodon, assuming Famichiki is using a vanilla version is being able to quote-toot. So many of my tweets on the bird app were QTs. I feel like I'm missing a finger.

@npub13xj…sys0 It doesn't look THAT bulky. I mean, I take a reusable curved eye mask and BOSE QC45s. And I'm usually in business class because I live abroad and fly internationally. I can see Vision Pro for 14 hour flights being a game changer.
