@npub15c0…hxke Not close enough, unfortunately. I’ve quicklinks configured in Raycast to open specific Google Docs documents, Trello boards, etc. But as it is now, every time I press a shortcut to open one of them, a new tab is added instead of switching to an active one.
Could that be achieved somehow?

Every time I see a list with the #fediverse instances with the most users I’m reminded of how cool this corner of the internet actually is.
I’m not contributing to any of the user counts on the top lists. Rather the opposite, with my personal, private, single-user #mastodon instance. But yet a part of the larger network.

I give up, at least for today. Can’t get my #11ty build to do what I want tonight. Strange thing is that the code that looks right to me doesn’t work at all, while the code with (again to me) obvious errors almost does.

Finally! Migrated my site to #11ty. It took longer than I had hoped for, but that's only on me.
I also had a lot more fun than I had expected. 11ty is a pleasure to work with – thanks for the efforts you put in @npub1xed…yg9w!
And CSS/HTML have come a long way since I last (15+ years ago) tried to design something myself. Really pleased with how this turned out. Still some details to fix here and there, but thanks to @npub1y9z…3ykm I got the most critical ones sorted this weekend.

Slowly making progress towards the launch of my new personal website, built with #11ty. One decision still left is how to host it. :)
Is it possible to build on Github and push the site to a LAMP server? Most people in the community seems to use specialized services like Netlify, but I haven't fully understood why.

Baby steps towards launch of my new web site. And new things to learn for each one of them:
When I put the static files from my #11ty build online, on my web server, individual post pages aren't rendered in the browser, but instead downloaded as text files. When I use 11ty's local dev server functionality, all works as expected.
I could need some help debugging what's going on here.
The files doesn't have any file suffix. Should .html be added by 11ty?

While building my new site in #11ty, which is a new tool for me, I wonder if it’s time for me to learn #Git and #versioncontrol as well.
I notice that I over and over again make a backup copy of a Nunjucks partial or my eleventy.config.js before trying something (that more often than not breaks some things). And sometimes I lose track on where I’m in my dev process.
Would I benefit from version control? Any relevant tutorials to share?

Trying to wrap my head around #i18n and #11ty.
Swedish will be the main language for the site I’m building, with some English content as well.
I want the Swedish content live directly from the root:
domain.tld
domain.tld/posts
domain.tld/about
etc
And /en/ added in for English.
Do I even need the i18n and translation plugins? Or could I just build that folder structure without them, and using variables/includes for translations in shared templates?

Can't get my head around this. Anyone in the ##11ty community who can help?
When I try to use the Image plugin, 11ty throws me an error about non-existing path. But using the same path and file name in a standard <img> tag works just fine.
What am I missing? :)

This is amazing. I’ve never been a frontend guy. Made some unsuccessful attempts for a couple of personal projects a decade or so ago. With terrible results.
Now, when exploring #11ty I’ve also learnt about flexboxes and grids in #css. Suddenly frontend seems approachable as well!

I’m far from a #frontend person. Any suggestions on good-looking HTML/CSS template for a minimal, personal blog I can use while leading #11ty would be much appreciated. The starters I’ve look at are either to barebones in terms of visual style, or a bit to artsy. :)

If you don’t have an eye for design, and not written a single line of CSS for like a decade, but have a fairly good understanding of programming logic, how easy is it to turn a template from #TailwindUI (or whatever you suggest for great, premade layouts) and build a personal blogish site using #11ty? Handlebars/Nunjucks doesn’t seem to difficult to get?

A periodic reminder: Make sure you have backups of your photos.
My main drive with memories spanning 20 years crashed this week.
It took close to 90 hours, but now all 80k photos are restored from my cloud backup.
