Reminds me of how I am regularly the sole person wearing a mask when forced to use public transportation. Several people coughing and sniffling – and sneezing into their hands instead of their elbow. A surprisingly large fraction of people are careless with themselves and others. Guess it’s a question of priority and immediate vs. indirect effects. Since most don’t care about protecting me, I have to do it myself as best I can.

I’ve tried it. KDE is massively slower and needs more resources than macOS on my quite old 2014 MacBook Pro. So yeah, good that it works for you but it’s not a real alternative for most non-nerds. Plus, there’s effectively zero professional media software available on platforms KDE runs on.

Well, that didn’t work. In Germany, a far-right party with openly fascist and Nazi ideology gained the second most votes, in East Germany they even dominated. The most votes went to the conservative right. Depressing, how predictably mass manipulation by fear works. Standing in a flooded living room, one worries about petrol costs, hanging on to combustion engines in cars and immigration, while ignoring the water all around.

Did some #running today on the last EU election day. Did my voting ahead of time by mail. If you haven’t cast your vote yet, let me be the one to annoy you into exercising your democratic rights now and vote against all the aggressively idiotic right-wing nutters out there.
