Like, they might end up rebranding the Streisand effect because of how hard they're pulling shit.

@nprofile…8f02 and the funny part is, if a modern tool tried to provide those features, they'd often try to figure out a way to paywall like half the features under different premium tiers. FOSS is the only way to go with how bad normal software has become now

@nprofile…4tpe honestly, we really should be diverting investments in Adobe, Autodesk, and more into the Foss alternatives. I would kill to have a version of autodesk's software that did not have the DRM that they bloat their shit with.

@nprofile…d6h6 what's even worse, is the fact that a lot of systems as well are forcing people to be reliant on AI as well, so it's not an easy solution to be able to gut it out of people's lives.
If you need a frame of reference, there are people I know who work in cybersec that end up using AI as a crutch now, and it's not exclusive to young kids, these are people who are in their 30s and 40s.

Access to these older recordings has only encouraged consumers to seek out the higher quality recordings elsewhere, helping their enterprise out, but noooo, we gotta leech every last theoretical dime possible out of the consumer.
All they're going to do is cause a 2nd burning of the library of Alexandria, thus harming themselves since research makes good music that they could be selling

I made this to prove a point against someone for who #Lunk is, but it turns out I ended up following the trend of #pixel32px over on Bsky by accident lol. Included a normal C&H character for scale.
