tbf that's all under the assumption that the story you're hearing is true, and that's not the story I've heard about that outage.
(I think that "file corrupted" theory is mostly being thrown around by people who are, for some reason, trying to link this to the unrelated but time-correlated Azure outage...)

That's the kind of people that used to hold the power in the #NixOS Foundation until they left at the first sign of having to take responsibility. People that see a moderation problem and are so out of touch with reality that they think "oh I'm just going to deploy an LLM to enforce the code of conduct".
They don't see the issue with it because they're completely oblivious and have no leadership skills.
