I am putting out a call for advice: I am looking for casual iPad games that are either free or inexpensive (i.e. $10 or less) and have NO in-game ads or purchases.
This used to be something that was relatively easy to find, but the App Store is so jam-packed full of scammy, shove ads in your face, force a subscription upon you, pay to win bullshit that finding honest software is utterly impossible.
Please boost, because I’ll bet a lot of you are also looking for recommendations like this.

Tonight I ran into an issue where my A/V amp kicked into PROTECT mode twice. At first I was confused since it wasn’t hot, and I’ve been using this amp for a few months now… but after checking, I found that my speakers are 4 ohm, and the amp specifies 6 to 16 ohms. I just never turned the volume up enough to trigger an overcurrent condition!
Switched to my old amp for now; hopefully I can replace the speakers at a later date.

Curious: is there a DAW out there that shows tremolo, pitch bends, etc. as part of the notes on the piano roll? Like, actually showing the note squiggling or bending?

@npub1psd…9sr7 I suppose one could theoretically train a model entirely on one’s own previous work, and use that… but then it wouldn’t be an LLM (and I wonder exactly how useful a neural network that would be, since it would essentially regurgitate stuff you’d already done in the past).

It just occurred to me that the #InternetArchive is basically the only thing holding back the persistent bit rot that’s destroying the history of the net… so naturally enormous corporations are attempting to destroy them.
Also, one goal of the push towards ubiquitous cloud computing and the War Against General Computing is to watch every single thing we do, and destroy our ability to copy and spread whatever we feel like, instead of what the corporations decide we are “permitted” to partake in.
