That's is a lovely purple. I've got Monteverde Rose Noir and DeAtramentis Alexander Hamilton, I didn't used to like the Rose Noir, but it is growing on me.

I have that problem with a Pilot metropolitan, but not with the pilot plumix. The only other pen I own is a vac filler that always stays home. Vacuum fillers have a cap at the back that screws down to seal the ink chamber from the feed. They are commonly recommended for travelers because they won't leak even with changes in air pressure, like when flying.

Last night I Inked up my Nahvalur Original Plus (my fancy pen) with Diamine 150th Anniversary Tropical Green. So far, I love this ink, the pictures don't quite do justice to it's vibrant and velvety color. I bought it because MountainOfInk reviewed it as being well behaved and drying quickly, which is exactly what I need because I use this pen to take notes when I'm home (it's too precious a pen for me to take with me). Anyhow, if you need a Christmas ink, I might suggest this one.

Not a show, but thought I'd plug a book, Tress of the Emerald Sea! One of the most refreshing, funny, romantic, and engrossing books I've read in a while. Part of a larger "Cosmere" so there are some references you might not get if you haven't read the authors other work, but a very good standalone none the less.

There are varying degrees of ability, perhaps things like eye sight, and perhaps the gift of opportunity, but I agree with @npub17nd…950x no artist got there without thousands of hours of hard work, exploration, and probably plenty of self doubt/criticism; not to mention public criticism. Plus, fame is not a consequence of gift, there are plenty of amazing artists who are not very famous.

Hmm, this post has made me think more than any other i have yet read on NOSTR. Thank you.
I know that if I could afford to buy paintings, I wouldn't wait for them to go on sale, if I (and my wife) liked it, we would buy it.
I don't know how much your paintings cost, I have never look , I already know that no matter how much I love them, I can't afford to buy them...yet...
I think these other comments are right that you shouldn't sell yourself short, and also that you shouldn't be discouraged. Keep refining your craft, and keep exploring new ways to market your art, and also your skills. You might paint landscapes of people's own land for them...
I really appreciate your art, and hope to build myself a strawbale house and hang paintings on every wall!

Been a while since I posted any art, here is one I started when I was at the nursery with my wife, she can spend hours walking through the greenhouses, so I just find a plant and draw it. Added colored pencils later.

This is the story of all of human history. When things are easy people will become lazy, mentally as well as physically, when things are hard, people (some people, I hope I am will have the courage to be one of them) will rise to the challenge. We can never build a system or society that lasts forever, hopefully though we can build one that gives people the option to opt out, that seems to me one of the greatest strengths of the freedom tech being built.
