I’ve been using Stoop Inbox to read enail newsletters for .. a while now? Years? But I haven’t gotten any new ones in my app in June yet, which is abnormal given how many subscriptions I have… Turns out the app was last updated 3 years ago, so I’m not holding my breath for a fix.
What else do people do to keep their email newsletters nice and tidy? Looks like I’m in the market…

Hot take: most ceiling fans I’ve encountered in my life are bad design. Having one control (like a string to pull, or a single button on remote controlled fans) for 4 different states is bad, especially when you cannot immediately tell after using the control what state you are now in. (Is the fan slowing down and will eventually stop? Or is it just a slower speed? Who knows, better keep staring at the ceiling.)

We need a movement for conscientious objection to ReCaptchas. I don’t want to be forced to participate in training machine learning models to identify sidewalks, crosswalks, buses and cars in order to go about my daily life digitally.
I don’t want driverless cars on my city streets. I don’t believe the fiction that this technology will ever be safe.
I do not consent to using my own cognitive labor to train the models that will mow down people on foot or bikes later with no accountability.
