Meta AI has started a "chat" with my senior friend on her Facebook phone app, probably because she used the wrong search bar.
I can't find a way to make it stop sending her "messages" or updates on the search topic. She suffers from cognitive issues and though I told her not to reply, she keeps forgetting it isn't a real person messaging her.
Is there a way to block or opt out? I was able to mute and turn off notifications but that didn't prevent new messages from appearing. Any suggestions?

This sounds bad.

These merged wildfires were discovered on July 10, were caused by lightning and are classified as out of control. This merged wildfire is located approximately:

Greenwashing doesn't even begin to describe what's going on here. It's way more serious than that.

@npub1ddp…2tax @npub16tt…e96m There's plenty of blame to go around in this one. And sorry for venting but there are also municipalities and governments not doing a good job with crisis comms. A person shouldn't have to rely on Facebook for their evacuation plan info but here we are.

Just a reminder. Meta is blocking Canadian news organizations on its social media sites right now. Instagram. Facebook.
In the middle of a #climatecrisis. With heat waves, drought conditions and wildfires. Also, with Covid cases rising.
Canadians are unable to share news articles on the most popular social media sites as the company flexes its muscle in a dispute with the government.
