Zhe/ he/ she/ it/ they.... I was born and raised in the deep south by Christian conservatives. I kept the good bits and tossed the rest, making me a different kind of progressive. I got perspectives. I routinely volunteer as the keeper of the meanings of words and consistent principles to the consternation of language abusers and partisans. I abhor the fashion police and fun police but make room for the public health and hygiene police.
