wlroots window capture progress: now it works with off-screen windows and popups are handled correctly!
Also added a small hack to render onto a transparent background. Will need a bit more work to clean that up.
Apart from that, the main remaining blocker is fixing interactions with various output-related Wayland events (preferred scale, transform, frame pacing etc).

I've been experimenting with patches to add relative positions to the kanshi output configuration tool. Would that be useful to some people? Would a different design (e.g. grid-based) be more useful? Would saving/restoring profiles be more useful?

This is Sway in HDR mode, but unlike last time, there are no hacks nor tricks. It supports both SDR and HDR content on both SDR and HDR outputs. Phew!

@nprofile…tslx "Valid" has a wild meaning in C. In C, a program calling a function without a previous declaration may be "valid", as long as argument types match. Maybe "valid", but not sane.
OTOH, there are many invalid programs that trigger warnings without triggering hard errors.
New compiler versions triggering more warnings is good, because it means I'm finding more bugs in my programs. (Worst case, it's usually a simple fix to rewrite the code in a less confusing way to make the compiler happy.)

Reposting a GitLab comment I wrote about -Werror, because it seems like it's a hot take. Am I a crazy person?
I've been enabling -Werror by default on all my projects since basically forever and I've only seen positive outcomes.
Warnings are not meant to be ignored. They almost certainly indicate that something is broken. For instance, calling a non-existing function is -Wmissing-prototypes. The set of warnings triggered depend on a lot of things, including the exact OS, libraries, compiler, enabled features, etc. A CI can't possibly catch all of the combinations.
Users will report when a new warning breaks the build, and then the developers or the user can send a patch to fix it. Users can easily turn off -Werror if they want/need to.

(I'm just using Podman instead.)
