@nprofile…eu3n Yes! Bought his book last week. Fun first few chapters reliving Economics 101 from my B.Comm days. The more one reads, the more one appreciates that he has a balanced view of the need for free markets, but well regulated ones, so markets work towards the common good. Although we need #Canadians to vote for that vision, so no #Canadian is left behind, and so all of us can reach our full potential.

Every little bit helps. I used to use Harry's razors, blades being cheaper than Gillette. Today though, wanting to support a #Canadian company, I splurged on a #Henson razor, made right here in #Ontario, #Canada. And bonus, the razor is made from #aluminum, which seems most appropriate given the new #Tariffs. A few days of stubble grew while I awaited delivery. Would I like the single blade experience? Well, first draw across the face, and I didn't think it was working. So smooth and painless!

@nprofile…5fn0 it seems to me that the news ramped up about alcohol causing cancer around the same time in the pandemic they there were signs #COVID19 maybe be a trigger for cancer. Not saying there's a connection, but interesting if the plan is to deflect a surge of cancer cases in the coming years by blaming it on alcohol... And hey, we all warned about the alcohol (since you don't have to drink, but you do have to go to the office).

With long running droughts in the US, and climate change only to make things worse, our water resources are surely going to be of great interest. And with Alberta basically a surrogate child of the Texas oil and gas industry, a far right movement potentially funded and influenced by Putin (directly or indirectly) and Canada sitting stuck in the middle of two super powers, and Trump saying he'd urge Russian aggression NATO members: good times.

It's February in #Ottawa, #Canada. A time folks are usually skating on the Rideau Canal and celebrating Winterlude. However the Canal is closed for skating due to the warm temperatures this week. And outside today I find this insect crawling around the frame of my back door. My outdoor thermometer reported a high of 12.4°C. All is not right if these are the conditions we are experiencing in mid-February. I'm terrified to find out what summer holds for us this year. #climatecrisis

Who else is getting tired of the media showing people at the beach during unsurvivable 50°C heat events? Wtf on so many levels. Photos of empty beaches would be more representative of reality, or am I out to lunch? Would you go to the beach when it is an unimaginable 50°C?
