Main problem with nostr is that notes aren't permissioned. Social platforms protect their users from scraping to some extent. Nostr could be even better by offering a choice of who to share things with. People we follow. People they follow. Those who follow us. Etc, etc.

Make ad engagement tracking (not ads) illegal.
Instead of peddling numbers, ad companies should sell placement. Obtrusive ads that try to trick you into clicking are bad, while ads themselves are not.

the point is there is no broadcasting anything without a middle man/website/server. unlike radio or broadcast tv. computers cannot overhear each other unless they are middle men. as far as human communication it's the equivalent of passing notes.
