I agree this is beyond bad.
They are at least communicating well, although that is probably little consolation.
Seems uncool to kick RM whilst they are down, though.
How is this a problem for e/OS itself though? It's a murena cloud problem.
I use none of these services with my phone. It's been a non-issue for me.
I don't want to use someone elses cloud, nor does e/OS force me to.

Essentially requires you to trust your kernel, which is certainly NOT good.
Nontheless, not a good point trashing other projects. (Make it your selling point instead)

Sure, an invasion of privacy can be due to lack of security, but it doesn't have to be.
Amazon proved this quite spectacularly recently with their recent remarks about their echo product being altered to listen constantly.

A totally insecure device can still be private.
Privacy is about the device not releasing your data into the wild on purpose.
Security is about it's resilience to attack.
You conflate the terms repeatedly when referring to e/OS.
e/OS marketing makes little mention of security at all. It's focused primarily on privacy.
I'll grant there is a wide grey area here, but my point stands.

I'm glad you have found your niche supporting a single family of fairly expensive devices. Apple do that too, and it's a lot easier than trying to write something more generically installable.

I see no claim that e/OS is "hardened". They state that it has been de-googled, that it comes with a minimal set of privacy respecting apps, that they won't share your data, etc.
That is NOT what you are implying they state in your toot.

So stop going on about them, and tell us why, in detail, you feel your project is better.

I've recently become aware of this war between graphene and e/ OS.
It's not a good look for either side.
What i haven't seen is much in the way of solid evidence.
I can say that neither OS has a website worth shit.
It took ages to work out if e/ supports my phone, and i still haven't figured out if graphene even works outside a small clique of google handsets.
Pull it together both of you. Get along.
Thank fuck Mobian is on the rise is all i can say.

I had a machine in 2000 that had a fault so severe that it would only work on Debian. I could only assume that the fault just wasn't triggered by debian.
Eventually it showed up - the entire south bridge failed (lost one function at a time, starting with USB).
Eventually its USB would only work with a uhci card - ohci ones just failed after a couple of hours. Later it failed completely.
