This is a long shot, but I figured I would toss this out to #transfediverse:
Has anyone heard of any GRS surgeons doing vaginoplasty on patients with a BMI over 40? I’m talking someone who is specifically specialized in doing the procedure for fat women. My therapist believes this should be possible, but I’ve never heard of anyone that does it.

After over a week of trying to figure out why the fuck I couldn't access my #zfs pool from inside a #docker container, I finally found the solution.
It turns out that if you install docker from the ubuntu install screen (which installs via snap), the bind permissions are completely incompatible with zfs.
Once I uninstalled docker from snap and reinstalled from apt, the problem went away.

I just read the sentence “as companies struggle with the threat of AI” and my eyes rolled so hard that I hurt myself.
There is no AI threat. There is no AI. There are people treating ludicrously expensive algorithms as one stop solutions to esoteric problems.
The only threat is the one constructed by managers who think theres a threat. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
Can someone please turn the tech industry off and on again? Theres a whole load of corrupted memory floating around.

First step is they have to replace the entire service panel, because the flipper we bought it from upgraded it without a permit.

@npub145u…hq7w I had started on one. I have a fairly clear concept of how an actually _good_ dating app could be built, what features would make it safer for minorities, ways to prioritize non-cishet needs, etc. I even have a graphql schema planned out. I have a domain name (amorra.us).
What I don't have is time or motivation to actually implement it.

@npub1y7p…66re yeah, I think I reached that place a year or two ago with my facebook page. I realized that I was contributing to a culture of pain and toxicity that was both making me depressed and being harmful to my followers.
Halting that, unsurprisingly, had a drastic affect on my engagement, which facebook then punished with less exposure. That, combined with moderation fatigue, is what finally made me abandon FB.
When I migrated to fedi I consciously chose to never boost trans pain.

Blocking access to cross-sex hormone treatments is trans genocide. Full stop.
It is as surely genocide as blocking access to thyroid medication, heart medication, or diabetes medication.

Shot in the dark, but does anyone know of a divorce lawyer in southern california that works for cheap to help women get out of abusive relationships?
A friend of mine's husband is trying to trap her by making her sign a contract saying she wont divorce him until their 2yo is 18. He's a fucking asshole and I want to help her get out, but she can't afford a lawyer.

That is not a job I would wish upon any fedi admin. There were days where I had to ask friends to take over moderation because it was too taxing on my mental health.
I don't think most cis folks have any concept of just how vile meta users are.

@npub1y7p…66re She did, her estate has it recorded that she licenses her voice for recreation after death. She even attempted to record a library of vocal sounds specifically to allow them to synthesize her voice. There was hope that the tech would be used for Discovery, but it never panned out.
