After casting on the orange shawl, I thought that it would perhaps be nicer to have the decrease part instead of the yo's of the repeat in the middle? So, I got another ball of the yarn and cast that version on as well 😆

I baked a Turkish pide bread! It’s supposed to have sesame and nigella seeds on top, but I didn’t have nigella. Instead, I used caraway. Very tasty! 🤤

I reknit the purple yarn in new lace patterning, mirroring the eyelet V-shape earlier in the border patterning. Much better! Now to knit in the twisted rib until all the yarn is through! 😃

Today, there was drama in garden: this chick had flown from its nest and landed in my apple tree. Both #HarissaTheCat and #ArrabbiataTheCat were aware of its position. The birds parents were also around, calling the cats names. Harissa jumped into action, but I got the bird to fly away out of the garden. Whew! 😅

As I mentioned last time, there are now just many, many leaves to knit. This is what I managed to knit thus far. There is some ruffling going on, probably because I didn't have enough yarn to knit more of this section after the pi-increase before starting the border. But, I think it will be ok even with some ruffling in the finished piece, it will add to the organic vibe of the shawl 😃

Leafy border, take 2! I'm pretty happy with this version! It will be a long time before the border is all done: there are 128 leaves in total to knit, before I'm through with all 1024 stitches on the needles. Still, with a leaf here and there, progress will be made. To be continued! 😃

On the pale green round shawl, I did the last pi increase round. And I must say, 1024 stitches on a 100 cm circular needle is a tad crowded... 😃

I got my husband to snap a few pictures of me wearing my Striped Summer tee to share with you. Anyway, I expect that with its slightly ruffled yoke and relaxed fit, this garment will become a favorite for those warm summer days!
