Usually on #macOS when you click the red x on an app's top bar, you close the window but the app stays running in the background, at it still hangs around in the dock and everything.
When you do the same in the Photos app it appears to actuallt quit the app.
I can't think of other apps that behave like that.

Starting to reflect back after making it back home from #useR2024 (without additional train issues 🎉), and I'm starting to feel like the most important effect it had on me was to help me realize that all the cool people are still there, doing cool things (presumably, if not assuredly).
Just because the Twitter of yore died and the social hub kind of went away, fractured, diaspora'd, doesn't mean that there's nothing left of the community that has been so special to me over the years.
