Little ladders for garden critters. 💚
Nearly the whole neighbourhood is setting up to help our garden buddies through the winter. We have bird feeders, hedgehog houses, waterbowls, squirrel feeders, and bee, bat, and butterfly hotels in the gardens.

When I was young, I used to think I was a complete anomaly in my family. However, I found this photo of the grandmother, whom I had only known by the pain of her early departure, still echoing in my family, and suddenly, I made a lot of sense. Now, whenever I pick up anything that I could wield as a wand, I strike this pose—even if it is just me and a big spoon in my kitchen.

Yes, me.
I have lovely, supportive people around me, but I am, let's say, unconventional. It's not always easy for others to estimate whether something I am doing is leading me to happiness and health or throwing me into the abyss. It's often the opposite of what most expect and can look nearly identical. So, I have to rely on my own encouragement to do the quirky things I adore.

I have a working cover/ title. Every so often, I change it to match the content.
I just renamed book 8 from "Waiting in the Dark," which was a very early working title, to this new title, and I'm rather pleased with it. It represents the book as a whole a lot more. Well, so far. We'll see where these next chapters take us.
