@nprofile…6m2n @nprofile…rsqr I guess then you are using vimscript instead of lua? Or am I missing something and there is a way to have a more plain configuration? I made the switch something like two years ago, and using lua feels much better. Vimscript is as much of a programming language, it's just that there is no way it is useful anywhere else 🙈 In general I don't like it when software introduces their own language...

@nprofile…6m2n I also thought about switching from neovim to helix, and I would be willing to retrain my muscle memory, but the much bigger issue for me is that they say for even quite basic features that they should be implemented as plugins, but the last time I checked they did not have a plugin system yet... So at the very least it will probably take a few more years before I see that happening.

I am sincerely wondering how hard it is to style a #HTML checkbox using #CSS. I'd be happy with just aligning them with a label, but this already seems to be asking for a lot. And most answers I find online are already outdated...
But hey, if you know more than I do let me know 🙂

@npub1mhp…6t73 There are still conditions, partials, filters, a dot notation, callables, ... It's nice they logic-less, but that's simply not true, template logic is still logic, and debugging might also be nice sometimes for template logic too.

Something that is really nice about using #PHP as a templating language (instead of Twig, Blade or whatever) is that you can easily debug templates using #XDebug.
