@nprofile…qx50 I’m a son of Catholic lay pastoral workers; my mother just sent me a screenshot she took from a WhatsApp story by a colleague complaining about the spacing. It’s so obviously failed in a weird way, which makes me wonder how this is possible, even if it’s machine cut by an amateur.
Didn’t find a better photo online and assumed perspective distortion was involved. So I scrolled down my Mastodon feed as I was sure somebody else must’ve posted something already …

For my bachelor’s degree I tried finding the origins of Würzburg’s custom street sign schriften. I failed, the few traces from the archives led to nowhere.

I remember we coordinated via phone what to save from piled contemporary specimen sheets, leaflets, booklets, volumes, there were even brand new books still wrapped in plastic, like ›Karbid: Berlin‹ …
That last FontFont specimen issue was given to interns there as a gift during some time, at least until Monotype bought them.
