I would like the metric system more if it adopted a few informal measurements that could correspond with imperial units.
Like, they could literally adopt the Japanese "shaku" as an analogue to the foot, currently defined as 333.33mm, which would almost exactly fit 3 to a meter.
1L is already almost 1qt, so ½L ≈ 1pt and ¼L ≈ 1 cup.

The Ribbon is a UI design language that we can both agree on. I actually genuinely like the concept as well and it's frustrating that it seems to only exist in Microsoft applications. 😒

And I personally hate the modern UX movement to stuff everything into a singular hamburger/gear menu that could be who knows where in the window.
I've hated Firefox getting rid of the menu bar ever since they merged the tabs with the window header because that just makes the neutral place where I need to place my mouse to click and drag the window so fucking small that half the time I end up clicking something else instead.

It's also the active ingredient in "non habit forming" sleeping tablets here, yes. But it's the only 1st gen antihistamine available over the counter here. Everything else on the shelf here is a 2nd gen antihistamine.

I personally prefer to have a window decoration if the application is literally anything but a fullscreen game...
Like, I feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable not having a nice big place where I can place my mouse to click and drag the window around. I actually HATE that the title bar is merged with the tab bar on browsers because the handle space for dragging the window is now so small.

Woke up feeling kind of Kingly today and I think I'm going to boast my masculine side here on fedi while it lasts. Have some King Calyo for a bit~ Maybe for a while. We'll see how long this masculine mood sticks~
(Also, boy was it a pain in the ass to figure out the image "scaling" logic of Mastodon; feeding it a square image resulted in all kinds of annoying weirdness and I had to give it a rectangle with aspect ratio 2:1)
