Happy Friday folks.
I have been trying to find some of the Dr Chris North hybrids and I'm so pleased to see that lilium Eros has flowered for us this year.
Eventual height is around 5 feet tall, so it has a way to go yet.

I'm struggling with stuff today.
I had my first birthday card yesterday from my dad since my mother has passed away, and the complete absence of my mother's name on the card hit me in ways that I hadn't expected it to.
Grief is now my new friend, a lifelong relationship that I now have to make space for.
A friend that I'll now make space for at the table and invite into every aspect of my life.
A friend that will help me accept the treasures in memories and the healing power in letting go.

Having just dipped into some random 'world news'-...
Why, oh, why are these people allowed to wreak havoc on everything they touch?
A few hands dangle the strings of nearly every world leader now.
It's times like this when I look to the skies for some friendly aliens to sort all the maniacs out.
Meanwhile, I'll be hiding under the sofa and just wishing that people would rub the shit out of their eyes and see these buffoons for who they really are.
I really do prefer plants to people.

Phew! What a #hot day.
Our peonies are now beginning to #flower in the garden.
This #barbiepink shocker is called Honor.
It was was bred by Professor Saunders who was a Canadian chemistry teacher.
He had an obsession with crossing and back crossing as many specie peonies that he could get hold of.
This is an amazing colour.
It clashes with everything and it goes with everything.
Saunders peonies are now becoming more commercially available here in the UK.
