Wayland on Fedora 40 KDE Spin with KDE 6.1 is generally ok.. Installing the closed source Nvidia driver is a pain in the ass but ones you set everything espeically hardware acclerated video decoding in Firefox things become toleratable... Some applications still missbehave so still install the fallback X environment though but most of them work.

Wayland actually improves upon X11 but that is only for native Wayland applications.. The core issue to solve here is backwards compatibility both API as well as ABI backwards compatibility.. It should be to the point compiled applications should have a clue that they are running on Wayland. For this purpose they have Xwayland but Xwayland degrades performance so far and can cause issues.. If Wayland needs to have widespread adoption than those things had to be solved.

While using Archlinux for a weak I just give up.. There are so many annoying bugs.. Not system breaking bugs but little annoying bugs which drive me insane. First virt-manager was not working while using Virtio-GPU drivers and now blender showing a missing library error..
No wonder why Arch is called an unstable distro. Rolling release distros not cool for a consistent environment.
I am going back to my old arrangement which was Debian+Backports+Flatpaks

Proper Urdu support on Linux out of the box is important for me because the broken fonts mean I cannot read the social media posts in Urdu properly.. Its not the end of the world it is fixable like how I copy Windows fonts and seeing the time and date not in my native language is not the end of the world but it is annoying..

P.S why proper Urdu support is crucial is so to read all the posts on social media and interact with them.. otherwise its not the end of the world as I am pretty much fluent in English and English is a co offical language of my country but its annoying on Linux that most distros do not put much care in proper internationalization..

So far Fedora, Ubuntu and their derivatives have the best support for my native language Urdu out of the box. others I have go by the complicated mess of broken fonts and I often copy fonts from Windows 11 into my Linux installation.
Urdu uses Perso-Arabic script but it is slightly different from the standard Perso-Arabic script used by Persian as it extends it to include the native sounds of Indo-Aryan langauges.. So yeah those extended alphabets end up getting broken or incomplete by default.

I ultimately ended up with MX Linux.. Its AHS version.. Its basically Debian Stable with latest kernel and latest GPU drivers with SysV Init and no Systemd and several other modifications and bug fixes in base Debian Stable.

Similar idea are floating around among the corporate supported Linux distros to compile the binaries for newer versions of x86_64 instruction set to make the binaries more efficient and leave behind the older CPUs from a more than a decade or two decades old behind..
