Yeah I guess we should remove restrictions over alcohol and tobacco and pharmaceuticals and sell them directly to kids and just rely on parents. Make drugs available in schools too. I mean they were already available in the computer lab and on cell phones of kids so why not do a brick and mortar shop on campus? It’s frustrating to see people sleep on the amazing utility of cash just because of the money printer. It is a bad way to hold money, but it is by far the best way to spend money P2P. Even if you hold bitcoin, converting to cash and spending cash is a truly instant, largely trustless and fully anonymous way to spend. There is no FED friendly blockchain. No “anonymous” currency than can actually be de-anonymized through other methods. Internet is down? Doesn’t matter. Relying fully on tech for mission critical applications like commerce is just not robust. Kind of reminds me of people who bought a Teslas and can’t drive in the cold.

Because you can’t afford it yourself so you’re going to need the cooperation of all citizens. So basically just replicating the existing military. You won’t be able to do because you won’t get everyone’s voluntary cooperation immediately. You don’t just need funding, you also need bodies to fight. Not really. Kids don’t have IDs. You only get one as an adult if you choose to drive a car. Every transaction you make can be done in cash anonymously. Do I need to show an ID to buy $10,000 worth of products at the Apple Store? No. They take cash.
The US is based on freedom and people with computers are looking to erode it simply because they see tech innovation = using my skills = I don’t have to dig ditches = I’m helping the world become a better place = “value” = notoriety = money = food and house for me. Databases are ran off of unique rows of data so the obsession with IDs and unique values is inherent in all of tech.

You’re talking about US politicians. Inflation is all over Europe and the rest of the world. The Covid lockdowns were global and affected production and trade everywhere. Even if the US never went into lockdown you would still see high inflation globally. There were just overall less goods and services being made while businesses had their income interrupted.
