it's so hard to watch any star trek battle scene going on and NOT think "god, wouldn't a grenade be super useful here?" like, literally did they forget grenades exist? they got 10 dudes standing in a tight formation, some cone attack or fireball would be perfect. they really need to play more d&d at the very least. yes, im off my adhd meds today, not sure it shows. i think star trek grenades will be my roman empire. im almost done with watching ds:9 its been a long slog but its finally paying off. eom

@nprofile…du53 truly a good point applying methods we use for software. i wonder if the events (hunger) aren’t firing or if they are being dropped somewhere. my guess is that i should amplify the signal from the hunger sensor. and also have a polling system to check at appropriate intervals. I really do like reactive systems but sometimes polling just works well.

Whatever self survival module I got installed, it sure doesn't work well. Half the time I have no idea why I feel bad until I eat something and realise it's food I need. Other times, I go from not hungry at all to full blown ravenous. Let's not even start with dehydration. I wonder what I was thinking when I made this build.

If Terence Tao can get rejected, then anyone can. Rejection is part of human life and I agree that social networks can paint an unrealistic picture of constant success, but reality is that even the best of us face rejection. I love how Terence calls it "routine"; this is a good way to look at it. It's not emotional, it just happens and, in a way, it has to happen. I'll try to remember to share more of more failures, of which there are plenty! xD

Learned about addressing modes on the 6502 using an Atari 800XL emulator. Pretty neat stuff but lots of stuff still to learn. And a few more addressing modes to go! I'm not sure why my string copy program didn't work, if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
