A house I lived in after my college years had a TWO STORY rhododendron out front and when that thing decided to bloom we had the prettiest house on the block.

@nprofile…fynq @nprofile…5lyf I think the part where I almost lost my cool on the call was where a person who is intelligent enough to know better but is still a Trump supporter responded to someone saying “these are not manufactured in the US” with “not yet.”
Like somehow we’re going to get ramped up to build all the various components in high end computers by Thursday, or even in this goddamn decade. It takes *years*, tens-of-years in some cases, to approach this scale.

@nprofile…fynq @nprofile…5lyf I just had an incredibly depressing call with hardware manufacturers with Intel on the line and we were calculating not for keyboards, but for the servers one might plug a keyboard into, the various tariffs already incurred, happening now, and expected to happen within the next 180 days.
For reference, many advanced servers take 180 days to stand up.
It is a actual, grade-A USDA Certified ShiteShow:tm: of the first degree.
