I think it's not so much a moral entitlement as a recognition that this is social media. We have the option of posting only to followers or those mentioned in a toot, so replying to a public toot is what social engagement is all about.
If there are problems with the quality of the response, that's another issue.

Capitalism is only part of the problem. The other elephant in the room is overpopulation, creating resource scarcity and environmental degradation. Capitalism makes it worse by prioritising profit, overconsumption and waste,
Socialism might make things fairer but there would still be the problem of overpopulation. And how do you get to socialism from here?
