@npub108m…vuna people who start using #Prav an #android will be forced to go back to #WhatsApp even if a single contact is on iOS and find it hard to join #XMPP without the easy on-boarding option provided by #Quicksy and #Prav.

@npub14dl…2rjr @npub108m…vuna no, choosing a custom username when signing up so phone number is not the username. So in public groups, even if the nickname is set, this will default to custom username instead of phone number.

Many of my friends are unhappy with members of private group and admin of public semi-anonymous groups being able to see phone number of a member since #Quicksy and #Prav currently takes the phone number as username.
We want to change this in @npub108m…vuna and allow Prav users to choose a custom username which will hide their phone number in groups.

@npub1ykd…4473 there are already volunteers making #XMPP app for iOS. We only need to add this extra glue for #Quicksy/#Prav. We will stay as close to upstream Monal as possible so the extra maintenance work is minimal.
