yeah, i'm an anarchist. it's my bio and i also have a black flag in my display name.
i think a big part of our disagreements is that you seem to think that direct government control is the primary alternative to state capitalist business, whereas i consider the two as largely part of the same social pathology. i think those businesses are largely an outgrowth of the state, and of the authoritarian social biases that make the state possible.

yeah, the typical response to "market failure" is "the government should do it". this is fallacious because they wound have at least make the argument that government would do it better. but they typically don't have much of a concept what "government failure" would be and what disqualifies government from certain tasks.
and of course it ignores all options that aren't state capitalist corporations and state socialist bureaucracy. which i think aren't that fundamentally different anyway.

well, i think i made clear what i would like to happen and to monopolize it in the hands of the state would probably be disastrous, even the enforcement of that alone would destroy many livelyhoods and require massive censorship of research, tools and educational materials.
as for "AI being unethical" there is numerous different claims, but from what i've sen they are either nonsense or are really about the institutional structures and incentives being bad.

well, it seems the strawman didn't help, because we still don't agree what the worst option is 😛.
though i guess your example of "private" prisons highlights the absurdity of what some call "private sector", like it's 100% paid by the state (well, also the slave labour of the prisoners actually), and none of the "customers" would possibly want to be there.
state run roads however are a giant subsidy for the car and trucking industry and it would be great to de-externalize the costs here.

hm, i have no strong preference on absorbing vs annihilating, i feel they both make sense in their own right. i guess annihilating sounds more badass 😅.
calling them "identitiy elements" or worse "identities" just sounds kinda sloppy and weird. like, they aren't any more identical to anything than anything else…

i just thought about it for the first time and noticed that the first part of "gastronomy" is coming the greek "gastro" (stomach), and not from the german "gast" (guest) as i have assumed since childhood 🤦😅.
