One of my main hobbies aside from gaming, is writing! At the moment it's merely a hobby, but, this is the year to potentially hone the craft! Ideas need an avenue to freely play, writing is the one way I can easily make this happen. I'll also be talking about Linux or whatever else is fun at the time!

The Fractured King is an odd one, he likes to hang out at the pub he secretly funded and drink a special craft ale that mimics the sacrificial ale offered to him in the distant past. He doodles in an enchanted leather-bound book all the ways he'd like to see Erebus and Damian die!
People just think he is drawing happy trees, when in truth those half brothers are lynched on the foremost tree in the drawing. A vivid outdoor market is really an execution square, featuring the brothers secured in a guillotine.
He loves going to the celebration night that also mimics rites in the distant past, which gives him strength to endure the wicked but powerful curse he put on his limbs...
He's a creature of simple pleasures!

I was excited for InZOI until I learned they used AI (LLM in disguise) generated content in-game. So that's a hard pass for me, as I like my life simulation games being handcrafted by the developer team...
Not some LLM generative tech doing most of the heavy lifting in terms of content creation. :yell:

@nprofile…6fay Hah, it is indeed a lot but as long as you've made peace with it...You'll might be fine! 😂
It would be nice to not be overwhelmed on the daily and being able to choose your Social Media experience at will! It would make it easier to create ranges of interaction. Furthermore, it would be like having a permaculture garden, you could create social zones that you'd like to maintain the most and the ones that need the least attention. That's a Mastodon dream, that if they get it right...The platform will be even more useful!

@nprofile…6fay ROFL You've got your work cut out for you. Having a large Podcast audience in addition to participating and running a writer focused hashtag would demand a huge social media focus.
I do wish Lists were less about people you followed and more about segregating content you'd like to keep up with in a less overwhelming way.
It's a major oversight that I have heard the Mastodon team was considering working on. This would make it easier to curate people and hashtags in a way which wouldn't make one's head blow up due to overstimulation.

@nprofile…jdzh I feel these #boycott efforts are a good dry run to test and see how well people can coordinate their efforts! The Civil Rights movement took more than a day, so slow progress is absolutely to be expected. Boycotts when adhered to can be just as successful in resisting malicious changes designed to weaken voting, consumer buying power, and safety nets.
Anyone against them might be either shortsighted (this is a natural part of the human experience) or corporate stooges trying to diffuse the economic harm their corporation might suffer. If enough people participate and participate consistently, those corporations will feel the blow and can be made to tread carefully after recovering...
I will be participating because it's a good trial run.

Banned Books are enlightening, there's always a reason why they are banned: They highlight the experience of others and bring light to the terrible shit they've been put through. It's vital that banned books are distributed and read...The ones doing the banning know the power of these stories and want to stop the light from illuminating others.
Pairing a banned book with coffee is such a good time!

@nprofile…4yq8 Only at launch there seemed to be some balance concerns…Patches are already dropping though, which means this will change soon enough.
I think after a few more, I’ll be getting CIV 7 as I want a builderless experience. The game looks good, and feels strategic enough to keep me in a stranglehold like CIV 5 did.

It seems that CIV 5 is really crash prone using Proton, while CIV 6 is quite stable. I’d prefer to be playing CIV 5, but I can always learn the flow of CIV 6 while waiting on CIV 7 to be polished into a great game. The one thing I don’t like about 6 is that builders have limited charges (an issue that can be overcome by having high rates of production).
It was mostly UI and gameplay balance that needed tuning in CIV 7, so it might not take overlong for them to fix it up. Otherwise, it looks like a good game that got rid of builders and linked tile improvements to city growth.
