The next thing that sucks about Coracle is that you don't know if your posts actually.. you know, post. It's kind of important.
Relays fail silently, and there's no clear reasoning about which ones it uses. I have dozens registered, but it never completes more than 5.

The thing that sucks about Nostr is that the relays you use are stored in the client. That means that every time you want to use Nostr on a new device you have to add all the relays you want to use, or just accept the client's defaults.

I kinda like Coracle's "Feeds" feature; it's a lot like saved searches on Twitter. It lets you filter the posts in your timeline in various ways, and then you can save it and come back later.

The weird thing about the way that Coracle manages relays is that it lets you join as many as you like, but it really can't maintain connections with more than 70 or so. Which of those relays it ends up posting to is a mystery.

On the Nostr git repository's readme it says that one of the problems with ActivityPub is that it gets noisy when there are a lot of servers, but my mastodon client only has to send my toots to my instance, while my Nostr client is trying to maintain webSocket connections with 800 different relays and all that network work is on my phone bill.

I decided to use #Electrum since it seems pretty stable and well supported.
Had to install some python dependencies. Then I got errors about trying to install in an "externally-managed-environment" so I had to install more dependencies and create a "venv". After that it installed.
I'm not into this #python shit, I may try a different wallet if it gives me more trouble. Maybe the Windows/Android install process is better?
