I believe that this could be integrated into a personal electrum server or run as a standalone. Any server or desktop will do. With a bit of tweaking it could also be used on an umbrel/raspiblitz/start9. Having it available there would make it a lot easier for users to set up. #note1khk…te6g

Built a new thingy. Checkout my wallet implementation for Bip352 silent payments. Currently runs as a daemon and can connect to it via a cli.
The daemon is a light client and requires an indexer for tweaks and an electrum server. I’m hosting both of those on signet for testing.

Silent payments enable you to share a single address while not giving up any privacy. Unlike xpubs where all prior or future addresses are known. Silent payments generate a unique new key that only the sender and the receiver can identify.
I do not recommend running it on mainnet yet!

That’s the beauty of Go imo. I rarely get a panic if I handle errors. Programs run very stable if the Golang fightclub rules are followed.
I still have to work more with recover which can then even save you from a panic

Wow interesting, thanks for the comprehensive answer. I’m not sure I understood all that on the first read. Will think about it a bit more. I’m currently using leveldb for a GO project, indexing the blockchain for silent payments. It’s not too late for me to make a switch. Will look into it and see whether it improves the performance.

I faintly remember that there was a new DM protocol in place for nostr that wouldn’t leak who’s a party in the conversation. Is that correct? Could someone please point me to the NIP or the spec, I think it’s NIP-44? And does it actually not leak metadata except ip and timestamp? #asknostr

I mean I’ve heard reports of the efficiency of Bitaxe and they managed to get it pretty close to an antminer. Maybe these guys here actually managed it.

If I’m reading the specs right the efficiency is ~7.5 J/T. This is more efficient than the S21 (17.5 J/T). How credible are these specs? Would be highly efficient if true

Hi Plebs,
a couple updates from Satoshi Guard. Updated the Readme to ease people into the process to use the app.
You can now scan pubkeys with a QR code, this should make it easier to set up multisigs. Also QR-codes can be used to share PSBTs between clients. no longer copy-pasting of long text across messenger services.

I don’t get notifications. And I wanted to get them hence I built the client. You also don’t have to use your private key in the browser. I know there are extensions for that but I don’t think so many people are on to that yet
