LOL, yo, like the audacity of white people who just now started paying attention to the #TheBadSpace today based on the word of some bigoted asshole, suggesting to ME I should take it down and only release it until it's ready while people like me are getting targeted, harassed and runoff from the fedi every day.
LOL, days like today make it clear how much racism is a motivator in this space.
So many of you hate Black folks and us advocating for ourselves in ways that make your experience here slightly less convenient.

I've been reading up on Mitch McConnell, and he clearly has some health issues, but his adherence to serving the interests of white supremacy won't let him rest to the point he'll die on his feet.
There's a powerful commentary in there about how his current state is a metaphor for how whiteness even destroys its main practitioners.

That's the thing about bigotry. It's a choice.
Bigotry is like carrying a heavy bag of rocks to carry to throw at people, but wanting sympathy when your back hurts and no one wants to help.
You don't have to carry it. But if you do, that's on you. You are making yourself miserable.

Ok, I said I would do it, and here it is.
I want #Fipamo and #TheBadSpace to be viable mainstays in the fediverse ecosystem, and to get them where they need to be, I need some help to get them up to snuff.
Because I believe the fedi can be a fantastic place. And I want to make a direct contribution to making this space better.

The people that funded Musk to take over Twitter really believed they could control the flow of information and stop us from connecting.
And we just did something else.
Really think about the implications of that.

The internet is an absolute mess, but it usually is when it adapts.
A lot of really smart people from different places on the planet are trying to figure out how we can keep our networks for us and by us.
These convos and work are hard and intense, but meaningful change is not easy.
But you can see and feel the shift.
