I hate being forced to "speak" to an AI Chatbot instead of, you know, someone who cares.
While there are no doubt some genuine benefits to humungous data harvesting...many applications of Absent Intelligence seem to only tell me one thing:

The refreshing thing about #Mastodon, here on @nprofile…jwjl is that I'm just crafting in #FFXIV, and I don't have notifications.
And that's lovely. Because it's like I'm gaming in the same place as you, but I'm not required for anything. I can drop in/out of conversations whenever and that's fine.
I won't get penalised by the people, or the system for being quiet.
Thanks for making me feel comfortable being antisocial with you all... I genuinely appreciate it.

Having just read what the actual heck is going on at #Facebook... I've done what I've been somewhat scared to do on social media. I've expressed opinions.
(It's long and I don't expect anyone to read it. I did it for myself as much as anyone else).
I think if I hadn't been here on #Mastodon, I would still have not had the courage to post opinions. If that post gets an adverse reaction, it will only prove my conclusion that so-called "free speech" isn't that free.

Just leaving this here until I'm around again, which may be 10+hrs away.
I've been failing to get #SWTOR running all day. It used to then it stopped.
Yes, I'm on #Linux, but through the #Steam I can run it and plenty of others have. But the launcher doesn't actually load, it's just a black box.
Any one got any ideas? I've tried different Vulcan versions already.

I kinda want to set my #Mastodon icon as one of my recent drawings, but I haven't finished a male doodle yet.
As here I see FibroJedi as a name rather than a brand, because then I'm a person not a service, so does it matter if my avatar doesn't match my gender?
I don't know with these things, because I don't want to give people an inaccurate impression either.

FYI, in order to reduce Social Media #anxiety/addiction, I've switched my notification tab back to "Mentions" only.
It categorically means I will miss new followers. So please start a chat if you follow (even if it's just "hi FJ"). I will try not to forget to reply to people.
But this way I should be okay to focus on resting and not looking at every like, boost etc.
I'm not addicted to follower numbers, but I love genuine connections.

NJ had her eyes retested and still needs glasses, so we're getting two new pairs for her.
I've made another glasses cord, so she has one for both sets. She had a bad habit of taking them off "somewhere" and leaving them there.

Despite my last post, the header/social graph images have been updated. I don't know how long it takes the Mastodon system to update URL cards.
I wonder if adding a URL parameter might work 🤔 I managed to get it to refresh it somehow not long ago.

#LOTRO Players: Today's maintenance is scheduled to be 9 hours long.
There will be a patch but with no release notes, so some secret sauce going into the system.
