@npub1nq0…n00m I really want to try this game. Everything looks solid, like weapons have actual weight to them. The animations are great. I just really wonder if I'm going to like the control scheme. Really curious 😁

What better way to implement enemies than by making them playable? 😄
In all seriousness, it's still quite buggy, but I think it will add a lot to the gameplay.

So excited to show off this dialog!
The first few iterations (Label3D and Sprite3D) looked pretty bad, but I'm quite happy with the overall look now that I slapped a ViewportTexture on a cylinder 😁.
Now, onto the stage of polishing this dialog

Missions are really taking shape!
✅ Objectives are tracked and displayed
✅ NPC spawns as hostile or ally
✅ NPC is passive when it doesn't have weapons
✅ UI clearly shows which units are hostile
✅ NPCs can target eachother
✅ Missions are simple to build thanks to the node structure and export variables in #GodotEngine

I love how big a difference small changes can make in #gamedev. I made the NPCs plane turn slower than the player, and it immediately feels so much more fair!
#GodotEngine is awesome for letting me export the "ai_turn_speed_factor" and allowing me to change it while testing.
PS. I know I need to adjust the very abrupt ending of the mission 😄

@npub1z2q…02kr Very cool! If you're taking suggestions, a scanline/crt effect could be cool. You'd basically just multiply the colors with something like the attached image.

@npub1z2q…02kr I would vote for "Featuring". You could even add it to all asset packs.
