Oh gosh, in middleschool or whatever, we would have some computer classes, learning to type.
You'd be in a car and have to type words coming on the screen, and at each mistake you'd get a bug splash on the screen.
Then the teacher would put a piece of cardboard above your hands to block the view to the keyboard, to "learn" how to type without looking at it.
This reminded me of that. Gosh, 20+ years ago. I'm so old.

Oh waouh.
Officially, my first taxable income was at 13, summer job in the fields picking melons. Physical as hell, and in the summer sun all day with no cover.
Went back into that company for the next 4 summers, I did anything to not go in the fields ever again, so I became good at doing stuff at the triage factory. Was as physical as the fields, but at least under the factory roof, not in the sun.
On the side in between summers, at high school, same age, i'd sell soda cans at recess. Started out with 5 bucks, ended up being able to buy my first computer end of year. Worked really well :D

What's your experience with nextcloud?

The weird thread visualization, at least on Desktop (I don't use anything nostr on mobile).
Like when I quote a post it posts that quote in the thread, which is fine, but don't include the original post in it's entirety in the view, just an excerpt.
Short OP's are fine, but when quoting long-forms you need to scroll for hours to get to the next comment in the thread.

It's scan-able QR codes with integrated images.
John's been working on that for a while, trying to get images to produce QR code blocks while still being images visually and actually be able to scan them.
Additionally he's working on getting image AI's to generate these types of QR images, which is what was done here.

Biometric and pins are just one part each of 3 of a secure authentication scheme.
Biometric = What you are
Pin = What you know
Then there's what you have/own = A cryptographic proof for example.
All three combined are the most secure form of authentication.
But 2/3 is always better than just one.
So i'd advocate for allowing to combine both Bio + pins for those that wish to.

Twitch bans multi-streaming only if you're a signed streamer, as in you have a signed contact with them as a "partnered streamer".
If you're not signed, you can stream wherever you want and on as many platforms as you want simultaneously.

France has also a trial set to be trialed (sorry, weird wording) in October for suspects of "terrorism" and "conspiracy to commit terrorism", with no proof and a note from the prosecutions stating "lack of proof because suspects use encrypted communication tools".
Is those suspects get effectively condemned, France will be effectively waging another war on encryption like in the 80's/90's.
