NextCloud is a nice way to get a “cloud-like” experience on a home server you control. It has a familiar UI that makes it a nice choice if you want to help onboard a family member or friend who is less technical into your home server.
Unfortunately, I find many setups and tutorials to be non-ideal (e.g. Missing HTTPS support, unclear configuration, spread-out data, lack of backups, etc).
So I wrote a guide that (I believe) solves a lot of these issues. If you are looking to improve your NextCloud setup, this might be an interesting read!

Phi3 3B is the best local LLM model for programming questions that I have seen. It’s quite capable, and doesn’t use as many computing resources as other models of similar capability. It runs on an M1 chip without making the computer sluggish.

If you are just getting started setting up a personal home server with a Raspberry Pi or some PC, one very useful thing to setup is SSH, so that you can control it remotely from your laptop or PC.

@npub1xts…kk5s, the latest version on that TestFlight group was 1.7 (11) (Probably around commit `ab529c43`), which seems to be before the Purple expiry notification feature was introduced (in `3569919e`)
@npub14qz…2q26, as for the issues with the TestFlight link, I believe you might be on the older TestFlight group, which we recently migrated from. Can you please try logging into https://damus.io/purple/account/ and clicking “Join TestFlight” on your account page (if you haven’t tried it yet)?

Not exactly an “out-of-the-box” solution, but I know of a very good AI model that can help generate subtitles: https://github.com/m-bain/whisperX
You can use this with a little bit of Python scripting to generate subtitles. In my experience, this is the best performing model for the task
