@npub1sg4…xslc @npub10cq…6nm3 the job he's talking about here is getting this consistency. if gnome devs are assholes, fine, huge surprise, but they still ship a thing they call wayland support. it's an unpleasant surprise to discover that there is no 'wayland support' but instead "a bunch of different shit that people sometimes refer to as wayland and other times get mad at you for assuming they're compatible with one another"

@npub1sg4…xslc who here is a journalist? me, some asshole who doesn't matter and nobody pays attention to, or jwz, who is merely explaining to users of one program why that program doesn't work on wayland?
there is no smearing in that blog post, aside from the "don't have joy in the hearts" bit, which is an ironic admission that screen savers are not particularly useful things.
in the comments of that post other people enumerate extensions and he points out that isn't sufficient for his needs.
