Crazy how changing client radically changes how you interact with people on nostr. It totally breaks your pace.
For instance, now that I can't like/react anymore I tend to react with emojis in replies instead. Also, I can only pick from 9 emojis (they're good ones) which feels limiting yet satisfying.
The plain/boring like button plus the fact I don't get know when/if people like my notes makes me lose interest in likes entirely. I will now repost what I like instead or even quote/react.
I also lost spell checking which is both a curse and a blessing because now I need to check the hard way which in the end is better learning.
I had a lot of suggestions for the dev team but I now find myself more and more enticed to embracing their vision instead (and complaining other clients do things differently because I'm sort of an idiot).

I have a positive impression about them though I didn't do much research. I think I can remember them sponsoring some EU based events. I'll try and learn more. At this point they're filed in my brain as the Bull Bitcoin of Europe. It doesn't help much as I'm nearly as ignorant about them. Early days.

Note that .deb file you currently get from Github is v0.9 and doesn't display note embedded videos. Compiling yourself @npub189j…3tg8 on Debian based distributions is easy enough though. It also seems to be the preferred way.
1) Install Rust

2) Install the needed dependencies

3) Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/mikedilger/gossip
4) Go compile the app
cd gossip

strip ./target/release/gossip
5) Run Gossip's unstable / latest version
./target/release/gossip

Melting doesn't work I like roast better. As for zaps they should stay. It would be nice to simply zap sats and have the other party receive their sats according to whichever preference they advertized.

I followed just fine till the friend swapped them sats to prevent double spending.
What's that. Is it redeem? Must be. I only ever heard swap as of sending tokens to a different mint. Clearly there's only one mint involved here.

I don't have a github account but if that's your preferred way then I'll create one.
I don't really miss the like notifications and would likely disable them given the option but that's something that most other clients implement.
In my optinion something like "Inbox (4)" could be enough a notification for the replies. It's an important missing feature in my opinion.
While I'm at it. Maybe a spell checker could be nice to have. 😅

Ok I take the missing notifications part back. They're actually hidden in your inbox. I hope you can set it so you can find note likes there too eventually.
Also it would be nice if in my notes you could have a toggle switch to hide your replies.
Overall I like the client and find myself using it a lot. Good work team.

Also in case anyone ever reads this, I'll add you can't see who follows your account and when reading your followed feed, altough you can tell which notes got reactions and zaps, you can't see which got replies which is especially bad considering you don't get notified when someone replies to your own notes.

Well it was interesting. I like it and I'll keep an eye on it but but I came to the conclusion @npub189j…3tg8 is not ready yet. It takes a lot of work to get started. As far as I can tell there are no notrifications of any sort. There seem to be no support from the team on nostr. Embedded videos are not working. I miss some key features like bookmarking and reacting to others posts with more than just the like button. It's not usable for me at this point in time. Is it for you @npub1qny…95gx?
