The political right is spending vast fortunes to influence the gullible. The money comes from autocrats, kleptocrats, billionaires, and the like. This story is just the latest.
Billions spent to spread mid-and dis-information about #ClimateChange have been well documented for a long time already.
The problems we see around us now are the result of people making choices. Those with money pay to get the choices they want. The latest is just a small investment for them.

It’s not big banks, it’s the Bank of Canada. Sure there may be some bad people there from time to time but it’s scrutinized by everyone, here in Canada, and in other countries. A conspiracy is risible. The author simply doesn’t understand what its purpose is, and very likely what money is.
