My first inclination with this was to think that maybe it would drive a point home, but perhaps it is just seen as a loyalty test at this point. I haven't even read up enough to know if wpengine or automattic was in the right here, but it seems clear that Mullenweg is being a dick, yet again.

While it took a year to remove after they found the danger... I have to wonder how well they've tested/monitored all the other herbicide/pesticides they've been using for decades.

A photographer I know who was a customer, purchasing ads for his workshops etc... was recently treated pretty much the same way. They blocked his ads, probably through one of those AI/algorithm mistakes, then he inquired about that and they shut out his FB page. Then he lost access to the personal account, and now apparently after talking to support who said it was a mistake and they'd fix it... he is locked out of IG too. 🙄 @npub1we7…x6u8 @npub167a…59jn

Most of the time butterflies don't want to be anywhere near my camera but on this afternoon apparently the Lavender flowers were too tantalizing for this Western Tiger Swallowtail (Papilo rutulus).
