One of the hardest things is for companies to change code base from old to new because of the cost to rebuild all the hacked together integrations.
Wouldn’t this be a perfect use case for AI? To rebuild it faster and with cleaner code.
Get to a new test system faster on a new code base to be able to make sure it all works before transferring to the new infrastructure?

There, there is a constant stream of good info amidst the noise.
Here, I don’t even see people’s post that I follow that I know put out good info.

I’m still bad.
The truth is, if we are serious about stopping corruption, human trafficking, et el. Then we will raid all corporate boardrooms and political offices. This is no longer speculation or “conspiracy”. Follow the money, find the problems.
Additionally, we should turn off the printing press at the FED. Not because of #inflation, but because it is the dollars they incessantly print that the criminals drum up bad ideas for.
The truth is, incentives drive actions and we are incentivizing bad actions. There will always be good and bad, corrupt and evil, though every once in a while a cleansing has to happen. A jubilee is normal and has been forgone.
#bitcoin doesn’t fix this. But learning and understanding Bitcoin brings a level of awareness that challenges one to either continue to participate or chose a better incentive structure.

It’s not a popular opinion but $COIN will be the JPM of the cryptocurrency ecosystem as it eats traditional banking, lending, and investments.
If you compare their tentacles and make up to JPM’s structure between 1900-1920. They look very much alike.
The one thing I think gets really overlooked is Base.
If we believe the 21st century is the era of internet money there is no denying #Bitcoin is the base, commodity-like asset. BTC is the asset all digital banking will be priced off of. However, just like people frowned on Amazon & AWS in the age of the internet’s rise with cloud infrastructure, people are frowning on Coinbase & Base as the rise of monetary infrastructure is being rebuilt to better distribute liquidity globally.
In the age of internet money, Base = AWS, IMO.
In the future all companies will need financial integrations (API-money) and connections similar to how all S&P 500, et el, eventually realized they needed TCP/IP connections, websites, and social apps. It’s part of a complete infrastructure overhaul.
The barrier to money will be broken in a similar manner to how the barrier to information was broken with the Internet. I believe it will provide similar growth (GDP) and be as disruptive as the breaking of the barrier to information.
Money always changes at critical juncture’s but banking basics generally stay the same.

Agree. I noticed where in Dec 2022 at the bottom he had to sell 700 BTC. I assume there was effectively a margin call due to drawdown. He’s doing alluded to this in the Saif podcast too.
He’s doing it well but people don’t fully understand the inherent margin risk even when you do it well.
Seems to me that at this point $MSTR is a lot like GBTC was when that arb was a “no brainer”. All the HFs and funds that abused the arb ended up blowing it up due to their leverage. This could easily be the case, seen again, after the fact??
Based on estimates there is about $78 of bitcoin per MSTR share. The company stock (pre-#bitcoin) typically traded at $10-$16 a share (for pretty much 20 years).
Adding $78 of BTC would get you to about $94-95 bucks per share. Also, Saylor has been pretty vocal that MSTR pre-Bitcoin was dead in the water. So, it would seem investors probably shouldn’t assign much value to the company then, right?
Granted, I do think his play is to turn it into a bitcoin bank, lend off the stack and convert the software to BTC software and analytics, so there could eventually be hidden value there.

If you want a better understanding about why certain narratives are pushed and why certain decisions are made at high levels, seek to understand what applying these phrases allows:
“State of Emergency”
and
“Dual Use Research”
For both ask two questions.
1. How does this impact money flows?
2. What rules and regulations are allowed to be circumvented?
“Unexpected” outcomes become much more predictable.

Black Swans are the obvious issue most don’t see because the average person just plays along with irrational explanations.
There are a small, but quite a few, that see Black Swans because they think logically, rationally prepare, and *can* wait long enough in a position. They can wait for the adverse event to unfold. Most can’t.
It’s not that Black Swans are unseen or unknown.
It’s that *most* choose to ignore the obvious signs.
Typically, because it means not taking the easy route, or making a big change to one’s lifestyle. So, only a few are willing to do this and are rewarded handsomely for doing so.
Ex: in 2008 it was *very* clear that Central Banks were becoming absurdly large hedge funds that had lost control, with no bigger fish to come in and backstop them.
However, it was not until a decade later that they finally began failing. 2018 - 2022.
It is very clear that US College Education is and has been an enormous bubble. Subsidized by govt grants and funding, & supported by issuing enormous bond amounts to overbuild. They can’t pay the interest expense so they raise tuition every year and use that raise to pay bondholder interest expense. The definition of ponzi.
This Black Swan has failed to happen… yet. But is very, clear, obvious and open.

Money has different meanings for different people. For some, it's a tool. For others, it's a liquidity resource that expands or evaporates quickly.
To me, money is real wealth and stores value across long periods of time, while liquidity is a claim on wealth that can easily distort the reality of our true net worth.
Money is backed by belief.
Liquidity is backed by emotion.
Strong belief systems last and provide abundance, while emotional systems irrationally expand and contract, creating unstable environments.

To me this point is the greatest hurdle in society, at least in the US.
Normie land has gone so far to the “just give me the short or simple version.” That no one understands the foundations of anything.

Musk plays the game for himself.
Apple, Disney, the BIS and all other corporate giants play the game to the lowest common denominator because there is a ton of vig to be had there.
Said another way. Musk usually takes the hard road and pulls out all the marketing opportunities. He enjoys the game of cat and mouse and knows how to execute in a high risk/high reward environment. He’s also good at suckering billionaires who can’t afford to look bad so they bring in their friends and new money when the outlook isn’t looking so good; just to save face.
Disney/Apple, etc. take the easiest road possible (marketing to the masses) because they know little effort is required for easy profits and extremely high margins. Herding sheep isn’t exactly tough and a very profitable business in the digital age. Plus, it’s reliable and repeatable when the narrative changes. There are just so many new ways to spin up easy profits when dealing with the lowest common denominator.
