Dead Space 2 really deserves a remake. It never got a native port to the current or last gen consoles, and they could do so much more with the graphics now

You can mute an accounts for set periods of time if you don't wish to engage with certain things for only a bit.
6- Most places are user owned and operated so please consider donations if your server is open to funding.
7- Like 6, your server is run by people, not programs, so do consider their wellbeing and give some time for reports to be handled.
8- You can migrate your account fairly easily these days (no guarantee it's complication-free though), so maybe find someplace else if you are somewhere that doesn't fit too well for you and move over.
9- Also like 1, don't self-censor words to things like "c0mmis0ns" to avoid detection because there are no algorithms to shadow ban you here! (also, it messes with text to speech programs)
10- Use content warnings (CW's) liberally! More than just for lewd content, some folks may not like seeing a bunch of politics or spiders or other things.
11- Most obvious of all, just be considerate and kind. Your server has rules and being kind goes a long way.

Oh #HeyCohost folks (and others new to fedi), here are a few tips for this space
1. There is no algorithm so you have to build your own network by following other users and hashtags to build your own home feed. Feel free to follow and interact often, and you'll find your crowd soon enough.
2. Privacy settings can be enabled in the settings to do useful things like: make your account default to private or quiet posts, hide follows/followers, lock your account to manually approve follow requests, etc.
3. Private messages are not encrypted! Fedi does not have a separate system to handle private messages so the existing function is kind of a hackneyed version of normal posting. Just use Signal instead for secure communications.
4. Folks here tend to be conscious of our friends with visual impairments (or slow Internet speeds) and may only boost your content if it has alt-text descriptions for images. We like it when everyone can participate here!
