Today I learned that #Project2025 is just the latest #HeritageFoundation policy recommendation book in a series that goes back to 1981 when #Reagan and his administration adopted approximately 2/3 of the recommendations. So if someone thinks "it's just a one off..." It's not. It's the next step in a 40+ year plan.

@npub19fc…ay3c isn't Hamas the elected gov't in Gaza right now? I'd guess the Biden admin is reluctant to give them $$.
Fixing the whole Holy Land cluster that's been built over generations by multiple groups with conflicting and often counterproductive goals, usually unrelated or even opposed to the well-being of the people living there - seems impossible.
With the tendency for people who criticize Israel to be called antisemitic and people who criticize Hamas to be called Islamophobic, and people being sloppy with language... It's hard.
All the while Israelis & Palestinians are suffering and dying because they live there (I don't mean to downplay the complicated history of how they came to live there).
Honestly I feel like the actual solution will be a secular single state, probably renamed, with a Constitution as its foundation and a Truth & Reconciliation commission. I feel any continued partition will be a source of irritation and temptation and justification for violence.

@npub1lrv…tth9 a Presidential #election with #Dolt45 running again and being absolutely terrible, threatening the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, getting his businesses cancelled throughout the state of New York, and on and on...
It's perfect cover for less flagrant but still damaging terrible government behavior. #CopCity is a travesty. But the #Atlanta PD is a pretty rough force, so it fits with their ouvre that they'd want a playground to practice their #militarization.

The #[0] #[1] have been #[2]. The people who believe #[3] are doing their part. In spite of the depraved actions of those #[4] who clearly believed they were above the law, the protests have been peaceful.
It's time for our leaders to get to work on meaningful #[5] like passing the #[6] to take a step in the right direction. Rebalance public safety funding to focus on actual #[7] instead of violently oppressing black and brown people.
Get to work!
