@npub1elr…qltt Yeah, while I'm mixed on the use of Lloras like that, it's not that bad if they are kept entirely local on the creators computer. The fact it was created through use of a third party company outside the artist's control is definitely very troublesome. Laws aren't caught up to this kind of thing.

Trying to bake some potatoes in the oven cause the microwave is busted and they just aren't cooking. Wish I had a BBQ to roast em on instead. Would be more enjoyable.

@npub1elr…qltt capitalism is weird in that it's built around keeping the majority of the population as busy as possible just to give them the bare minimum of resources needed to survive. We have more resources than we need for a lot of things, but we place artificial limits on its distribution. And a lot of things are made with the idea to be as wasteful as possible so people have to spend resources replacing them regularly.

@npub1m5q…54s4 Well the Star of David is six points. And there are a LOT of five point stars out there with various designs. Even the EU flag and the USA flag have a bunch of five point stars on them. Thing with symbols like that is they can only hold as much power as you are willing to give them. The more fear you show of them, the more power they end up having.

@npub1m5q…54s4 What's wrong with Star of David? It's purely a religious symbol for the Jewish faith. Unless you're advocating for death to all Jews or something. And yeah I don't see a problem with drawing swastikas. Sure the Nazis were bad and everything but people being so afraid of that symbol is what's lead to the Manji erasure is so much media out there. No reason we need to be afraid of 4 little lines like that.

Not to mention not every instance in the past was even about slander and harassment to begin with. Fact is I have no desire to harass black people. @npub1m5q…54s4 I've faced plenty of discrimination in other ways, but the thing is I seriously am clueless how me doing a drawing like that would seriously count as discrimination. The whole point of my post was that it was a drawing and that is was stupid to be getting up in arms over it to begin with. I don't look at it as a racist thing to be upset at at this point. That's the reality. Others might, and they might get upset at it. But in today's world I think it's stupid to get upset over it.

And I'll be honest and say at this point I honestly think we get too up in arms when it comes to things like blackface existing in older media to the point that we feel we have to erase it from existence. We are too scared to accept our past, and feel we have to erase it rather than just let it stay in the sunlight. In today's world it holds nowhere near as much power as it did. Nor should it.

And I'll be frank and say I don't care if you're white, black, yellow, or green with purple polka-dots. What really matters to me is how you act and how you treat people, including myself and those around me. If you're an asshole I'll treat you with such respect. If you're a good person I'll treat you as such too. But I really get fed up with all this shit constantly going around these days.

You know the more I see people come out the woodwork slandering Toriyama over how he drew a few black people some 40 years ago, the more I'm tempted to draw some in a similar manner to piss off the idiots myself. It's a fucking drawing people. Grow up. Odds are 99% of the people offended aren't even black to begin with which makes it even worse. I really don't like these groups doing whatever they can to sow racial division like this, even at the expense of a dead persons name.

Not available in my library system, or any library system inside the US or outside the country my library system has access to, and only the first two books are available for sale digitally on Kobo. I'd guess it's the same on Amazon though I haven't looked yet. Someone needs to give it some good old fashioned love.

We need to normalize drawing scenes from audio dramas and text only books. Though I do wonder how many people who call themselves artists can listen to a bit of speech, sound effects, and maybe just a touch of music, and truly visualize a scene in their head clear as day as if they themselves are living it right that minute....
