@npub1zdp…vqv8 hmmm.. There are those chalk infused string-on-a-roll things used in construction to draw erasable but very straight lines on stuff.
Maybe knit a bunch of them into a net, put it over whatever and give it a "twang" (technical term for plucking something under tension).
On a (possibly not) more serious note you can buy handheld laser engravers... Like this
