@npub1men…kc6x First I googled with "inurl:forum" to find real human experiences as opposed to SEO bullshit. Now I use "site:reddit.com". Will there be any way left once Reddit follows Instagram, FB, Twitter and LinkedIn in becoming loginwalled?
It looks "when, not if" at this point.

@npub1k2a…wvht A casual observation is that in Europe, there are technologists and businessmen, but they rarely join forces. Companies like Google, Amazon, Tesla etc became huge due to cutthroat capitalism paired with actual technical prowess. In Europe there's just tech without profit (as your statistic arguably shows), and sly businessmen selling hot air.
Is this explained by the investment climate that people so often like to point to?

Made a Dutch-style #stamppot today of homegrown Yukon Gold potatoes and scallion, a sort of napa kale and daikon from the Lucky Supermarket in Chinatown. Flavoured with Chinkiang vinegar and miso. Oh, and there's pan-fried paneer in there too.
It was pretty good, as almost every stamppot with miso is.

@npub176m…8ty8 Will you believe that I learned English in part by spending tens of hours reading stacks of these with the whole class in 8th grade? I remember learning the word "lump" when the teacher explained why you'd call an elephant Heffalump.
Early teenage me identified most with Eeyore.
