Finally bit the bullet and snagged a dock for my X220 #thinkpad
Also got a mSATA in order to dual boot OpenBSD / Alpine. Blog post to follow in the next few days 👍

I had my appendix removed last night. If you ever have stomach pain that eventually moves to your right side - don’t ignore it or try to “sleep it off” like I did 😛

My personal reasoning for slowly switching all my devices over to OpenBSD is cohesion. It’s an entire operating system in one, as opposed to a kernel base with GNU on top. The file system is organized in a way that satisfies my OCD and truly everything “just works”.
It certainly isn’t for everyone and GNU/Linux is still awesome. I will always advocate for using whatever works best for your own use case. That said, OpenBSD is peak OS 😛

Making further tweaks to my #OpenBSD #dwm setup on the X220.
- Removed the status bar completely
- Moved away from xbacklight to display.brightness
- qutebrowser as main browser with visuals to match the rest of the system (terminus font etc.)
Maybe I’ve gone *too* minimal? 😛
I will most likely port all these changes directly into the Open Suck installer https://git.sr.ht/~bt/open-suck

So tempted to grab a 2013 Mac Pro (black trash can). 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD. Seems like a beast of a Linux machine.
The main problem is it being 10 years old….

Dear product designers / web devs:
You should avoid hamburger menus on the mobile web 9/10 times.
1. No one implements them correctly
2. Most fail when JavaScript is disabled - leaving site navigation useless
3. A list of your navigation options works better for screen readers / keyboard movement
Just say “No” to hamburger menus.
