I honestly don't know. It's a 2013 ThinkPad X240 so it does nothing besides an extremely slow Android Studio experience 😅

CosaNostr onboarding starting to look like 'something'. Trying to make this as SIMPLE as possible. Add name, add picture, create keys, and some check that user actually saved them somewhere.
Then throw them in global and let them have fun 😅

You have a point on the deletion part, that's when they go full Nostr. New keys, new 'identity'. Purplepilled. But the very first step is just them signing in how they know it works and have a look around. Get 'those' people in, you know what people I am talking about, the ones that don't even care about bitcoin or decentralization or what even the problem is now. After a while, they just might change their mind.
We do not disagree at all, I'm just putting in my two cents on how to onboard a great deal of people that have zero interest in safety, security, transparency and/or sovereignty.
Someone just showed me a great onboarding system, I'm looking into that as well. Just afraid that Nostr will be stuck on bitcoinheads and wacky porn for a long time without more mainstream people.

To me it's the same as not your keys, not your bitcoin. Not your keys, not your Nostr. It's about that first step into Nostr that people find 'hard' or cumbersome. Why not make it easy until they know what they're doing instead of spamming their nsec in global?

Thinking about a normal email/password login for new Nostr users for CosaNostr. Just a simple Firebase auth system that fetches the keys on login. Easy to set up and easy to use.
When users are ready to jump in and know what they're doing, they could easily delete the Firebase records and go full Nostr.
This would go against the Nostr principle probably, but I do think my mom would actually go check it out if the access looks familiar to what she uses now.
Just a brainfart, what do you guys think?

I'm building a PWA client, but I'm lost in the NIP docs. I could use more step by step explanations or tutorials on how to for example listen to various kinds of events and show them to the user.

For the life of me, I can't explain Nostr to anyone without them immediately asking the 'who maderates it' and 'what if someone gets offensive' questions.
Are we really that brainwashed? We WANT someone to look over our shoulder to feel 'safe'?

You can adjust the amount on profile and just click on the wallet, even leave a message apparently. On iris.to you can change sat amount in settings, so it's apparently different per nostr client. Sticking to Amethyst for now, most stable thusfar 👍 Oh and yes, I was the 100.
