@npub1ygr…cg6z @npub12l3…qgjv the massive caveat of hormone replacement therapy (hrt) is “your mileage may vary”. As seen in the replies, some people didn’t lose any height at all.
A lot of people are convinced hrt doesn’t do anything at all and a lot of anti-trans propaganda claims it does everything immediately and permanently. The reality is more random, boring, and often magical.
Nobody is sure what progesterone does.

@npub1gg8…439g what hope do you have? you are gonna find out 🥰. The worst and best part of transitioning is that we all do it anyway. Cause nobody ALWAYS feels like it’s working but we all do it anyway. in time, hopefully, those negative feelings are less frequent. To me, getting hot isn’t the goal, being myself is. So when I see a hot lady feel bad, that has nothing to do with my journey to be me. I can relate to them but I try not to see them as proof of concept. They don’t owe me happiness for me to have faith in myself.
A note: given that you have some truly gorgeous trans women reading this, I’m not sure what those hypothetical women are supposed to feel about your post. People feel what they feel. It’s hard enough to let yourself feel something without feeling responsible for how that makes someone else feel.

@npub1gg8…439g toxic masculinity is both a means of oppression and a consolation prize for a lack of power. It must “always win” because to be “masculine” is to “always win.” It’s easier to escape to a weird power fantasy than to actually accept a lack of power and control. It’s entitled, pathetic, and terrifying.

It’s relief. Like Pelé said about winning his last World Cup, he didn’t care about the glory of victory, he only wanted the relief that it was worth it.
there’s a Damien Rice lyric I adore: “I could be wild and free / but god forbid then you might envy me”
I’ve been unpacking in therapy how much of my low self-esteem and self-sabotage is an attempt to protect myself from envy. It’s not worth it. It doesn’t really work either.
